I don't come from Irish descent, but as any good 'ole American, I embrace the holiday as the perfect opportunity to have a jolly green good time!
My mom grew up in New York and she always tells me about going to the city for green bagels on St. Patrick's Day, which also happens to be her birthday. It was a family tradition for her, and though green eggs and green tea make a healthier St. Patty's breakfast, I'm reminded of her green bagel tale every March.
